Canon PIXMA MX490 Driver Windows, Mac, and Wireless Setup – The Canon PIXMA MX490 is a compact and affordable all-in-one printer that offers a wide range of features suitable for both home and small office use. With its sleek design and versatile functionality, the MX490 is designed to meet the printing, scanning, copying, and faxing needs of users.

The Canon PIXMA MX490 features wireless connectivity, allowing users to easily print and scan from their smartphones, tablets, and other wireless devices. It supports AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Canon’s own PIXMA Cloud Link, enabling seamless integration with popular cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox. This wireless capability eliminates the need for cables and enables convenient printing from anywhere within the Wi-Fi range.

One notable feature of the MX490 is its automatic document feeder (ADF), which allows for quick and efficient scanning, copying, and faxing of multiple pages. The ADF can hold up to 20 sheets, making it ideal for handling small to medium-sized document batches. The printer also offers automatic duplex printing, enabling users to save on paper costs by printing on both sides of the page.

The print quality of the MX490 is impressive, with a maximum color resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. It uses Canon’s FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology, which ensures sharp and vibrant prints. The printer uses a hybrid ink system, combining dye ink for vivid colors and pigment ink for sharp text. This results in high-quality prints for both photos and documents.

In terms of speed, the MX490 can print up to 8.8 images per minute (ipm) for black and white documents and 4.4 ipm for color documents. While it may not be the fastest printer on the market, it offers sufficient speed for typical home and small office printing needs.

The MX490 also includes a built-in flatbed scanner, which provides high-quality scanning at resolutions of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. It supports various scan-to destinations, including email, network folders, and cloud services, making it easy to digitize and share documents.

With its compact size, the MX490 is designed to fit in small spaces. However, it still manages to offer a paper capacity of up to 100 sheets, ensuring that users won’t frequently need to refill the paper tray.

Overall, the Canon PIXMA MX490 is a feature-rich all-in-one printer that provides excellent value for its price. Its wireless connectivity, automatic document feeder, and high-quality printing make it a versatile choice for home and small office users.
